It’s not officially Thanksgiving until you hear Alice’s Restaurant, right? But did you know the song has a #Poughkeepsie connection? We all know that Arlo Guthrie was there for The Massacree but did you know his friend and traveling companion for the holiday trip was Richard J. Robbins of Poughkeepsie? As Paul Harvey would say, “Now you know the rest of the story.”

Is there a way to contact you on your website? I didn't see any link or pulldown for contact...here is a movie that mentions the Poughkeepsie Journal newspaper--

"The Front Runner" (2018), starring Hugh Jackman as Democrat Colorado Senator Gary Hart during a 1987 presidential campaign, also featuring J.K. Simmons and Vera Farmiga, has a scene at 1:25.16 in the film, where the Washington Post newspaper Executive Editor Ben Bradlee (played by Alfred Molina) discusses with his staff the pros and cons of publishing a series of incriminating photos delivered anonymously to the Washington Post office- Ben Bradlee says, "...(if) we decline to publish, some other newspaper runs with the story- the Poughkeepsie Journal, the Miami Herald ...maybe even the New York Times...
